Background
Eagle Feather Consulting was established to provide Nations and public institutions across Canada and the United States with senior advisory support that is both technically rigorous and culturally grounded. Our clients are decision-makers: Chiefs and Councils, executive directors, Deputy Ministers, Crown Corporation boards and Indigenous organizations carrying complex mandates with limited time.
We are deliberately a small practice. Engagements are led personally, scoped honestly, and delivered with the discretion that sensitive governance work requires. Where specialist expertise is needed, we assemble trusted associates rather than pass work down to junior staff.

Yvonne Ned
Founder & Principal Consultant
Yvonne Ned is the Founder and Principal Consultant of Eagle Feather Consulting, bringing more than 25 years of executive leadership experience supporting First Nations, Tribal governments, Indigenous organizations, and public sector partners across Canada and the United States.
Her career includes senior executive roles such as Chief Administrative Officer of Yekooche First Nation, Executive Director of Neskonlith Indian Band, Band Manager for Blueberry River First Nations, Community & Business Liaison with the Okanagan Nation Alliance, Senior Manager of Community Engagement at Rogers Communications, and Tribal Administrator for the Los Coyotes Band of Indians. She has lived and worked in the United States for 20 years, partnering with more than 17 Nations across both countries, and has led Ned Consulting Network since 2006.
As Chief Administrative Officer for Yekooche First Nation, Yvonne provided executive leadership to Chief and Council, advancing governance modernization, organizational restructuring, workforce development, broadband funding, economic development partnerships, and digital transformation initiatives that strengthened organizational capacity and long-term Nation-building.
Yvonne has secured and managed combined project and funding values exceeding $25 million, spanning federal and provincial grant writing, contribution agreement compliance, fiscal year-end close-out, emergency management and wildfire response planning, governance reform, and interim executive leadership during periods of transition. She holds a Business Administration Diploma from the Nicola Valley Institute of Technology (NVIT).
She founded Eagle Feather Consulting to bring this same standard of senior, culturally grounded advisory support to Nations and public institutions on a longer-term, strategic basis.

The Story Behind Eagle Feather Consulting
Eagle Feather Consulting is more than a business — it is a reflection of my identity, my family, my journey, and the values that guide my work every day.
I was honoured to receive the name Eagle Feather Woman in ceremony. Receiving this name was both a gift and a responsibility. It represents the way I strive to live — with integrity, humility, wisdom, courage, and service to others. When the time came to establish my consulting practice, there was only one name that truly reflected who I am and the way I hope to serve Indigenous Nations, organizations, and communities: Eagle Feather Consulting.
As a Syilx (Okanagan) woman, I was raised with a deep respect for our people, our lands, our language, and our responsibilities to future generations. In Syilx teachings, the natural world is our first teacher, and every living being has a purpose and a responsibility. The eagle is widely respected as a messenger that flies high above the earth, offering vision, perspective, and a connection between people and the Creator. The eagle feather is received with honour and carries responsibilities of truth, honesty, respect, humility, and service. It is not simply a symbol — it is a reminder of how we are expected to conduct ourselves.
These teachings shape how I approach every client relationship. I believe leadership begins by listening, decisions should be guided by integrity, and true success is measured by the strength we help others build.
Family and Legacy
My parents, Ronald and Charlotte Ned, are from Quilchena, British Columbia — a short, beautiful drive from Kamloops. They are Residential School Survivors, and their resilience, strength, and determination have shaped the person I am today. Through their perseverance, they taught our family the importance of culture, hard work, compassion, and never losing hope.
They are with us still. We mark this space in celebration of their anniversaries and their ongoing presence in our lives. They are proud parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, and great-great-grandparents. Their legacy lives on through each generation of our family and reminds me that every decision we make today helps create opportunities for those who will come after us.
In Memory of Amber
Within the Eagle Feather Consulting logo is a small butterfly.
To many people it is simply a beautiful design element. To me, it carries a much deeper meaning.
The butterfly is a tribute to my daughter, Amber, whose life continues to inspire my own. She reminds me that love never ends and that even through profound loss, beauty, hope, and transformation remain possible.
Amber's memory is woven into the heart of Eagle Feather Consulting. She is a quiet reminder that leadership should always be guided by compassion, kindness, and humanity. Every organization we strengthen, every leader we support, and every community we serve is part of a legacy that reaches beyond today and into future generations.
The butterfly represents love, resilience, transformation, and the enduring bond between those who have walked before us and those who continue the journey.

We hold space here for all missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people. Their lives mattered. Their stories matter. And their memory calls us to lead with courage, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to justice and human dignity.
This work is carried forward in honour of those who can no longer speak for themselves, and in hope that the institutions we help build will be safer, stronger, and more just for the generations to come.
